Me meme

Stuart Lloyd has published an interview with me!

Go read my mad ill-informed ramblings. Then, go read every single other interview, and you'll have a huge, massive, wealth of knowledge about the state of the game-book scene in 2012. I hope Stuart gets round to building an index, because there is a metric tonne of good stuff there.

Also I noticed I now have my own page at RPG GEEK - does that mean I'm like internet-level famous now, or what?

Oh yeah, and watch this (it's not about me, but it is awesome, Old School D&D, GW, FF, 1980s Games Day convention footage, queues, etc.):

  1. Good plan Zhu! I will get on that. I guess you are a celebrity now. Thanks for pointing out the video too.

  2. I tried looking for more information on mmBroadcast, but I'm failing miserably. My guess is this documentary is only going to be shown in the UK.

Do you happen to have more information on this?

    1. Ah yes. The video does include some of the Games Day convention footage I mentioned to you a while-back, which also featured in Channel Four "100 best games wiht Jonathan Ross" D&D section - but didn't have the gaming session in store with Steve Jackson UK (and maybe Albie Fiore).

    2. Maybe the in-store gaming session with Steve Jackson & Albie Fiore is this one?

    3. Yes! It certainly is. Great find, shame it's only on Facebook tho. The 100 best games with Jonathan Ross is now on youtube https://youtu.be/Zni47wq1VG4?t=2h20m19s and mixes footage from that, some Games Day and some Larp, along with now-forgotton TV personalities making snide comments.

    4. Ooh neat — I hadn't seen that 100 best video. Is that games day footage available in its original form anywhere else?

Fwiw, BBC also posted that in-store footage on twitter, but I don't have the link handy. Do you happen to recognize the other two at the table (besides Albie Fiore and Steve Jackson)?

    5. Looks like the Games Day footage is from 1981 and was part of the Games People Played documentary on BBC Two. The Games Day 1981 report in White Dwarf #28 mentions this, and the games & modules shown in the video are consistent with late 1981. The video is probably from episode five of that documentary, but I can't find the documentary video available anywhere.

    6. Top detective work there Guy. Found the Heart of the Matter footage on twitter here: https://twitter.com/BBCArchive/status/1000045807226228736 . Sorry, I don't recognise the two people who aren't Steve and Albie, but have sent Steve a tweet to ask if he remembers.

    7. Did Steve remember who the other two players were?
